Al-Spar Company follows an advanced industrial system based on three main stages aimed at improving the quality of petroleum derivatives and enhancing their operational efficiency. The process starts with impurity and sulfur removal, continues with precise distillation operations, and concludes with color and odor improvement to ensure products meet international standards.
Hydrogenation is one of the most important stages of primary processing for petroleum derivatives. In this step, the raw materials pass through a specialized reactor containing high-efficiency metallic catalysts, operated under precisely controlled temperature and pressure, with the introduction of hydrogen to initiate the reaction.
This technology breaks down unwanted compounds and sulfur-containing compounds, converting them into stable forms, which facilitates their subsequent separation. The process also reduces sulfur content to levels that comply with international environmental standards, directly enhancing product quality and protecting equipment and operational systems from corrosion effects.
Thanks to this stage, Al-Sabbar Company produces purer and more stable petroleum derivatives, suitable for industrial applications as well as the transportation and logistics sectors that rely on them in various operations and projects.
After completing the primary processing, the petroleum materials move to the fractional distillation units, which are advanced systems that separate components based on their different boiling points. This occurs within high-precision distillation columns, where lighter materials rise to the top while heavier components settle at lower levels.
This process allows the extraction of several product fractions, including light fuels, base oils, operational materials, and industrial solvents. It also enables adjustment of each product’s properties—such as viscosity, density, and flash point—according to the diverse needs of the company’s clients in transportation, logistics, and industrial projects.
