Service System for the Solvents Plant

The service system in Al-Sabbar Company’s project consists of a set of support systems that ensure the plant operates efficiently and continuously, while achieving the highest standards of safety and quality.

1. Unloading System and Raw Material Tanks (Gas Condensates

This system is responsible for receiving gas condensates from supply sources and safely unloading them into specially designed tanks with capacities and engineering specifications compliant with international standards.

The tanks are equipped with level, temperature, and pressure measurement systems to ensure continuous inventory monitoring.
The system relies on secure pipelines and control valves to prevent any leakage or loss of raw material.
This step is fundamental for operational stability and final product quality, as it represents the first stage in the production chain.

2. Final Product Storage and Loading System

After completing the processing stages, the final products are transferred to dedicated storage tanks designed to preserve the physical and chemical properties of each product.

The system allows separation of products by type and specification, with a coding and identification system that facilitates inventory management and tracking.
The storage system is connected to an integrated loading system for trucks or tankers, including flow meters, filling units, and safety procedures to prevent spills and ensure accurate quantities delivered to customers.

3. Hot Oil System for Reboiler Heating

This system provides hot oil that is circulated through a closed network to supply consistent and safe heat to the heat exchangers and reboilers used in distillation and processing units.

The system ensures uniform heat distribution without the need for direct flame in sensitive areas.
It helps improve energy efficiency, reduce corrosion rates, and extend the operational life of the equipment.

4. Steam Generation System (Boiler) for Reactivating Activated Carbon Reactors

It consists of high-efficiency steam boilers that generate saturated steam at controlled temperatures and pressures.

This steam is primarily used for reactivating the activated carbon reactors, maintaining their efficiency in absorbing contaminants and impurities.
Additionally, the steam is utilized in auxiliary heating processes within the plant, ensuring continuous operation at optimal performance.

5. Cooling Towers

Cooling towers reduce the temperature of the cooling water returning from the production units and recycle it within a closed loop.

This system helps conserve water and minimize environmental impact.
It also ensures safe operating temperatures for heat exchangers, pumps, and sensitive equipment within the plant.

6. Chilling System

This system uses mechanical chillers to provide cooling water or fluids at low temperatures when needed, especially in processes requiring precise temperature control.

The system enables achieving temperatures lower than those possible with conventional cooling towers.
It plays a key role in maintaining product quality and protecting equipment from undesirable temperature rises.

7. Safety and Firefighting System

The safety and firefighting system is designed according to civil defense standards and international regulations for the safety of oil facilities.

It includes an integrated firefighting network (water, foam, handheld extinguishers, and an early warning system).
Equipped with sensors for detecting gas, smoke, and heat, all connected to a central control room that enables rapid intervention in emergencies.
This system protects personnel and equipment and ensures the safe continuity of operations.

8. Power Generators

Backup power generators provide sufficient operational capacity to ensure continuity of work during public electricity outages.

They enable the operation of critical units such as safety systems, control units, and essential equipment.
This system ensures that sensitive operations do not stop or encounter malfunctions due to external power supply issues.

9. R-O and Industrial Water Unit

This unit specializes in water treatment using Reverse Osmosis (R.O) technology, producing high-purity water for industrial use within the plant.

R-O water is used in most cooling circuits, boilers, and certain chemical processes that require low-salinity water.
Industrial water of suitable quality is also prepared for other auxiliary purposes, helping to protect equipment from scaling and corrosion.

10. Laboratory and Production Quality Control Unit

This unit includes a fully equipped laboratory with modern analytical instruments to measure the physical and chemical properties of raw materials and final products.

Routine tests are conducted (such as density, flash point, viscosity, sulfur content, color, etc.) to ensure products meet local and international standards.
The laboratory issues certified quality reports used for product documentation and to build trust with customers and partners.
